Christian

Christian is a beautiful 12 year young Maltese, weighing 17 lbs. He has come a long way thanks to the loving care of his foster home! When he arrived, Christian was unable to walk and our vet determined that he has a luxating patella in one knee and a crushed ACL in the other, which caused him back pain. He was then examined by an orthopedist whose advised that he is not a candidate for surgery at this time. Over the last few weeks, he has been gaining strength and showing some progress. He is mobile now and can walk a few steps at a time before he stops to rest. We are hopeful that his progress continues, but we are just not sure and are fitting him for a wheelchair for even more mobility. He also has a heart murmur and is taking meds for it. Christian is super sweet, affectionate and a total couch potato. According to his foster mom, he is the easiest dog! He is completely housebroken and has no problem "doing his business" outside. He does need help with stairs but is very easygoing, friendly with people and other dogs, 100% housebroken and just a love!
